Joe McDermott Programme Leader

Joe – a former teacher for 30 years – is now involved in mental and physical health and fitness for the over sixties. He does this through developing and encouraging various hiking and cycling activities as well as Book Club and Genealogy Research courses. He holds a Masters Degree in Arts and a Higher Diploma in Education. Based in Newport, Co Mayo Joe is responsible for delivering the Retirement Planning Council courses in the West of Ireland. Joe has been working with the Retirement Planning Council since 2008.

    Don Morrissy Programme Leader

    Don is a Fellow of the Irish Institute of Pensions Managers and is experienced in the pensions industry. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from U.C.C. and a Diploma in Philosophy in U.C.C. He also possesses a FETAC 6 Train the Trainer Certificate. Don is responsible for delivering the Retirement Planning Council course the Munster region and has been working with the Retirement Planning Council since 2003.

      Pauline Murray Programme Leader

      Pauline was responsible for the development and delivery of training courses and co-ordinated the post-retirement programme for Teagasc retirees. She is a graduate of the Dublin Business School and holds a Diploma in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations and Sales Management. She is also an accredited mediation practitioner. Pauline has been working as a course consultant with the Retirement Planning Council since 2009.

        Donal O'Siocháin Programme Leader

        Donal has worked as a course consultant with the Retirement Planning Council since 2008 and holds a Fetac 6 Train the Trainer Certificate. Previously Donal was an airline pilot with Aer Lingus and served on the board of directors of Aer Lingus for a number of years. He has fostered a special interest in our inland waterways and served as president of the Inland Waterways Association of Ireland.

          Declan J Lawlor Programme Leader

          Declan has held a number of senior positions in the Financial Services industry, mainly in the areas of retirement planning and financial planning. He is a former Chairman of the Irish Institute of Pensions Management. Declan is a Fellow of the Irish Institute of Pensions Management, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and also hold a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Dublin City University Business School. He has been a regular speaker on retirement and financial planning issues to a wide variety of professional organisations.

            Paul Kenny Programme Leader

            Paul Kenny spent more than 34 years in the pensions industry before being appointed as Ireland’s first Pensions Ombudsman in 2003. He retired from that position in May 2016. Paul was a founder Fellow of the Irish Institute of Pensions Management, and a Director for ten years of the Retirement Planning Council of Ireland and its Chairman for three years. He has written and lectured extensively on pensions and related matters and holds a Level 7 Certificate in Training and Continuing Education from NUI Maynooth.

              Margaret Clarke Programme Leader

              Margaret has over 30 years Senior Management experience in a variety of roles in both the private and public sectors. She introduced Freefone into Ireland and presented to all major industry representatives across all sectors achieving acceptance and meeting all targets.

              Margaret identified and recruited Ireland’s first Premium Service Regulator and successfully negotiated with the industry and the Department of Communications the introduction and regulation of live services. She is a former Secretary of the Irish Direct Marketing Association and speaker on Direct Marketing at home and abroad. She represented Ireland in Europe in negotiations to better regulate cross border Information Services.

              With a degree in HR Margaret has a particular interest in People Development and has managed Staff Training and Management Development teams. She has provided Consultancy in Outplacement to corporate clients e.g. Microsoft, RBS since 2000

                Anne Marie Crowley Programme Leader

                Anne Marie is a highly experienced Coach, Trainer and Facilitator in Behavioural Change working with a variety of public and private sector clients. Qualified with a BA and H.Dip Ed. from University College Cork, a M.Sc. in Training and HR from the University of Leicester and Dip. Coaching from Newcastle College, Anne Marie is working with the Retirement Planning Council of Ireland since 2018 in the Munster region.

                Anne Marie has a 25 year corporate career across a broad spectrum of sectors in both private and public organisations including: manufacturing, technology, financial, retail/wholesale, shared services, healthcare and educational institutions. She specialises in behavioural change through coaching and training and has a reputation for delivering highly interactive workshops on retirement planning, self awareness and life skills, emotional intelligence, management training and development, time management, conflict resolution, communication and interpersonal effectiveness, outplacement/ career change and team dynamics.

                As an Executive and Career Change Coach and Trainer, Anne Marie works with executives and leaders in a variety of organisations national and multi-national, public and private. Amongst her client list are: Irish Management Institute, VMWare, Novartis, Trend Micro, Eli Lilly , Irish League of Credit Unions, The Sea and Fisheries Protection Authority and Cork Chamber of Commerce. She is on the panel of International Coaches and Trainers at UCC, GP strategies, fts Global and CoachSource and is a mentor with the Cork Local Enterprise Board.

                  Kevin Kenny Programme Leader

                  Kevin is a Programme Leader for the Executive Course at the Retirement Planning Council of Ireland. He has been a full-time coach since graduating from Coach Institute Ireland in 2003 with the Diploma in Business & Executive Coaching. He also works with Financial Advisors, helping them to grow their businesses as they in turn help their clients get peace-of-mind in their financial affairs and plan for a secure retirement. Previously he worked for 23 years in various sales, marketing and management roles in multinational companies in Ireland and the UK. He also holds a BSc from Trinity College and the Diploma in Property Economics from DIT.
