Paul Kenny Programme Leader

Paul Kenny spent more than 34 years in the pensions industry before being appointed as Ireland’s first Pensions Ombudsman in 2003. He retired from that position in May 2016. Paul was a founder Fellow of the Irish Institute of Pensions Management, and a Director for ten years of the Retirement Planning Council of Ireland and its Chairman for three years. He has written and lectured extensively on pensions and related matters and holds a Level 7 Certificate in Training and Continuing Education from NUI Maynooth.

Pauline Murray Programme Leader

Pauline was responsible for the development and delivery of training courses and co-ordinated the post-retirement programme for Teagasc retirees. She is a graduate of the Dublin Business School and holds a Diploma in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations and Sales Management. She is also an accredited mediation practitioner. Pauline has been working as a course consultant with the Retirement Planning Council since 2009.

Brian O'Connor Programme Leader

Brian is a Trainer, Facilitator and Executive Coach who specialises in working with individuals and groups during times of career and lifestyle change. He also works with small businesses as a trainer and advisor on how to tackle legal and HR issues at start-up stage. Brian previously worked for over 30 years in the corporate financial services sector in areas such as financial consultancy, sales management and compliance.

Brian holds an Advanced Diploma in Life & Executive Coaching & Mentoring, is a qualified trainer, has a diploma in Wealth Management from UCD / Institute of Bankers and is a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA).

He is an Accredited Practitioner Coach - International Authority for Professional Coaching & Mentoring (IAPC&M) and a member of the Institute of Bankers.

Donal O'Siocháin Programme Leader

Donal has worked as a course consultant with the Retirement Planning Council since 2008 and holds a Fetac 6 Train the Trainer Certificate. Previously Donal was an airline pilot with Aer Lingus and served on the board of directors of Aer Lingus for a number of years. He has fostered a special interest in our inland waterways and served as president of the Inland Waterways Association of Ireland.

Declan J Lawlor Programme Leader

Declan has held a number of senior positions in the Financial Services industry, mainly in the areas of retirement planning and financial planning. He is a former Chairman of the Irish Institute of Pensions Management. Declan is a Fellow of the Irish Institute of Pensions Management, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and also hold a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Dublin City University Business School. He has been a regular speaker on retirement and financial planning issues to a wide variety of professional organisations.

Kevin Kenny Programme Leader

Kevin is a Programme Leader for the Executive Course at the Retirement Planning Council of Ireland. He has been a full-time coach since graduating from Coach Institute Ireland in 2003 with the Diploma in Business & Executive Coaching. He also works with Financial Advisors, helping them to grow their businesses as they in turn help their clients get peace-of-mind in their financial affairs and plan for a secure retirement. Previously he worked for 23 years in various sales, marketing and management roles in multinational companies in Ireland and the UK. He also holds a BSc from Trinity College and the Diploma in Property Economics from DIT.

Brendan Kellett Programme Leader

Brendan has worked in the Biopharma industry for almost 40 years, 25 years of which were in Learning & Development roles. Having worked on projects at various levels in the multinational setting, Brendan has broad experience in managing the breadth of adult learning and development activities.

He is a Fellow of the Irish Institute of Training and Development. Having had a keen interest in adult continuing learning, Brendan was a part-time lecturer in Training and Development undergraduate programme in UCC for a number of years and is currently working with Biopharmachem Skillnet. He has a BSc in Psychology, an MEd and is a qualified Life and Business Coach.
